Past Projects

  • T-2021

    Project consists of water line reconstruction and the replacement of the concrete pavement panel on Corporate Dr. from Beechnut St. to Bellaire Blvd and includes the installation of a new traffic signal at the Corporate/ Beechnut intersection and the addition of a new street light system on Corporate Drive.

  • T-2027

    Project includes improvements to existing paver subgrade and surface at various major intersections along Bellaire Blvd, to address the high traffic volumes. Pavers are being replaced with new stamped concrete crosswalks.

  • T-2001

    This project consisted of multiple median closures and modifications on Bellaire Boulevard from Mary Bates to Beltway 8 and the addition of a westbound lane. Additionally, there have been modifications to seven existing signals and the installation of one new signal.

  • T-2026

    This project included improvements to existing bus stop shelters along major METRO lines to improve transit user safety and commuter experience.

  • T-2017

    This project consisted of remedying issues associated with an existing detention pond constructed in the park in 2012, including repairing the sides of the basin slopes, which had eroded.

  • T-2015

    The project consisted of updating amenities, including sidewalks in Lansdale Park.

  • T-2007

    The project included replacement of approximately ½ mile asphalt walking trail with a ½ mile concrete trail.  Other enhancements consisted of benches, picnic tables and trees along with irrigation and removal of the asphalt pad.

  • T-2006

    The project included replacement of approximately ½ mile asphalt walking trail with a ½ mile concrete trail.  Other enhancements consisted of benches, picnic tables and trees along with irrigation and removal of the asphalt pad.

  • T-2022

    This project included the implementation of three HPW led projects with TIRZ 20 funding share. 1. Design of Hillcroft St. as Gulfton's main street. 2. Gateway to Gulfton & High Star Community Plaza. 3. Westward Street Shared-Use Path.

  • T-2018

    Beautification project that included the addition of ornamental lights at five intersections along Bellaire Boulevard from Fondren Rd. to Beltway 8.

  • T-2002

    This project consisted of the reconstruction of sections along Fondren Road and improvements to intersections, from Westpark to Highway 59 including improvements to drainage conditions.

  • T-2003

    This project included safety improvements including sidewalks and lighting along roadways in the social services corridor.
