Current Projects
T-2004
A park and greenspace facility that includes a 120 acre-feet detention basin, multi-use trails, playground area, fitness equipment, Vietnam Veterans War Memorial, and associated parking, located at Country Creek Street and Club Creek Drive. This project was jointly funded by the TIRZ, City of Houston and Harris County Flood Control District. This project was recently completed in 2023 and the park is open to the public.
T-2010
The project includes replacement of the approximately 50% of existing concrete panels as well as the reconstruction of the existing sidewalks and driveways along Harwin Drive, and replacement/betterment of existing 8" to 12" water main, an additional exclusive right-turn lane from the EB Harwin onto the SB Fondren Road.
T-2008
This project includes a 3.12-mile concrete CenterPoint Trail parallel to S. Gessner Rd between Westpark Tollway and Southwest Freeway connecting to the Brays Bayou Greenway Trail. The project is divided in three phases, Phase I consists of the area between Sands Point Drive to Beechnut Street and Phase II consists of Beechnut Street South to Brays Bayou Greenway.
T-2010A
The project consists of the reconstruction of the Harwin Dr. & S. Gessner Rd. Intersection to improve traffic mobility and pedestrian safety in the area.
T-2020
Project includes the evaluation of the existing intersection and approaches, geometric layout for adequate storage, turning radii's, traffic signal hardware, and implementation of safe driveway access at all approaches. Additionally, it will analyze how to optimize traffic signal phasing and timing to minimize excessive delays and improve the intersection Level of Service (LOS).
T-2028
Development of the Southwest Civic Core Campus, a planned multi-use facility to include a new park, facilities to augment activities led by Baker Ripley, the Southwest Multi-Service Center, and Harris County Precinct 4, as well as the creation of a multi-use structured parking facility to provide community parking needs for the aforementioned uses as well as Legacy Community Health and the planned METRO Gulfton Bus Rapid Transit line. The Southwest Civic Core Campus will be located at Hillcroft Avenue and High Star Drive. Project includes mobility improvements in the area commonly referred to as the Gulfton Civic Core, bounded by IH-69, Hillcroft, Bellaire and Bintliff.
T-2099
This is a street maintenance program, which includes repairs to major thoroughfares and is being implemented in multiple Phases.
T-2029
Project consists of underpass lighting at signature intersections in the Zone.
T-2024
The project consists of repairs and replacement to selected existing damaged and missing sidewalks throughout the zone as well as miscellaneous curb and ramp repairs.
