The project consists of the reconstruction of the Harwin Dr. & S. Gessner Rd. Intersection to improve traffic mobility and pedestrian safety in the area.

Harwin at Gessner Intersection Reconstruction
The Southwest Houston Redevelopment Authority authorized the reconstruction of the Harwin / Gessner intersection. The new intersection will provide new right turn lanes on Harwin at Gessner to improve traffic flow through the intersection. The existing traffic signals will be replaced with updated traffic signals. The existing drainage will be improved with new storm sewer, and the existing water lines along Harwin and Gessner will be replaced. Sidewalks along Gessner and Harwin will be replaced with wider sidewalks, and pedestrian ramps at the intersection will be replaced with ADA compliant ramps. The street lighting will also be upgraded within the project limits.
